This folder contains settings files for typical kinds of connections at Brown. There is a file for using a T-Box on Brunet, and files for using a modem with either Localnet 20 or the terminal servers, at 1200, 2400, 9600, and 14.4K baud. The modem settings include “ATDT” commands to dial the current (9/93) phone numbers for each service. If you are calling from a campus phone, you will need to edit the “ATDT” commands to insert 8 at the start of the phone number, since 8 is required to get an outside line. For example, “ATDT4575160” would be changed to “ATDT84575160”. To make the changes, select “Commands…” under Term's “Cmds” menu. Then save the changes by selecting “Save Settings…” under Term's “File” menu.
